More about Lil Tay’s :

Lil Tay’s last Instagram post on June 18, 2018, featured a screenshot of her FaceTiming with the late rapper XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Onfroy. The rapper, who was 20 years old when he was shot and killed in Broward County, Florida, on June 18, 2018, was remembered in the tweet.

The post stated, “X, you truly changed me.” “When everyone wanted me to fail, you were there, giving me advice, being there for me. A father figure, when I had no one, you were there, face-timing me for hours on end.” “I’m upset, 3 hours ago you announced a charity event that we were organizing, we had everything ready, I can’t believe this, there’s evil in this world, it’s not good, goodbye, I love you, bro.”

Lil Tay’s social media videos often mimicked profanity and alleged gangster rappers – one video depicted her feigning drug use – sparking debates and concerns about the potential exploitation of children on social media platforms.

In a 2018 interview with Nightline, Lil Tay, then 9 years old, openly discussed her rise as a social media star and self-proclaimed “youngest flexer.” Her mother, Angela Tyga, and her brother came to her defense in the Nightline interview, praising Lil Tay’s videos.

Jason, who was 16 at the time of the 2018 interview, told Nightline, “A lot of people are hating on it and we just continue to do us.”

Her mother told Nightline that her daughter is a “proud mom” and a “great parent.” “My daughter has accomplished so much on her own,” she noted, predicting that she will become a “superstar.”

Lil Tay emphasized at the time, “Nobody is forcing me to do this,” asserting that she runs her own Instagram account.”
